Accessing Arts and Arts-Integrated Education in MMSD and Beyond

In this workshop, individuals from UW-Madison’s PLACE Office, MMSD, and Any Given Child share information about arts opportunities, funding, and advocating for the arts within your district. Including online resources, the artist-in-residency program, residencies taught by outside teaching artists, small arts grants, and free opportunities to participate in Summer Camps for the arts, there are so many ways for you and your students to connect with the arts in MMSD and beyond. Bring the arts into your curriculum, into your classroom, or to your individual students—we can tell you how. 

In this session, you will:
  • Learn what arts and arts-integrated opportunities are available.
  • Learn how to connect with teaching artists and programs to bring them into your classroom.
  • Learn how to provide arts opportunities for your students outside of school time.
