Learn to cultivate care and compassion in yourself and your students through the exploration of current research, ideas and practices that create proactive, prosocial communities that nurture children’s abilities to thrive  Learn about an experiential course on human flourishing, related research and adaptation strategies from UW-Madison’s Center for Healthy Minds as well as connected resources from PBS Wisconsin Education that can support the wellbeing of the students and staff members you serve.

In this session, you will:
  • Learn and practice strategies, grounded in wellbeing research from UW-Madison’s Center for Healthy Minds, that recognize and work with strong emotions in ourselves and our students.
  • Develop foundational practices that support students’ attentional and flexible thinking skills.
  • Explore free, bilingual resources from PBS Wisconsin Education that cultivate compassionate children and communities.
